Premium compost comprised of carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients: a fully mature composted blend of bovine, equine, and avian manures, hardwood bark, late cut hay, spoiled silage, animal bedding, food residuals. We blend biodynamic preparations and mature compost to inspire bacterial and fungal activity. Sphagnum peat moss is added for moisture management. Free of live weed seed, never any sewer sludge. Manure Compost is approved for use on certified organic farms and forms the base of all Vermont Compost soil mixes.

Use as an amendment to existing soil. Due to pH levels and mechanical characteristics, Manure Compost is not intended for use as a complete growing media.
Use as-is or mix with warm water to create a compost tea.
Avoid drastic changes in moisture/saturation. Store under cover, out of direct sunlight. Protect from weed seed, petroleum products, and other contaminants.
Regular incorporation of compost during the fall and/or spring will generally meet fertility needs for sustained production. Application specifics depend on existing fertility, soil condition, and crop rotations. Manure Compost can be mixed up to 50/50 with your existing media.
Store in a neutral environment which encourages moisture retention and protects from UV light. For optimal performance of living soil we suggest using it within 8-12 months from date of purchase.
